It's Friday. Here's Five.

1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
I hate ironing. Sadly, I have a cotton table cloth obsession that forces me to iron every two weeks or so, above and beyond the weekly bits.

2. Are there any that you like or don't mind doing?
Like? Who likes housework? I guess I don't mind cleaning the bathroom, or swiffing the house; I have unreasonably high standards, so I like when things are just so. The biggest compliment I received recently was when unexpected guests dropped by (during the blackout, I think), and asked "Are you expecting company?"

3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed?
It's pretty routine Chez Crabby - there's just the two of us, plus the kitties, so it's not that taxing. I clean the bathroom at least once a week, change bedsheets on the weekend, Swiff the house at least once a week, laundry as required, and tidy as I go. When things get sticky, I wipe 'em down.

4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules?
Rules, no.... really! I demand perfection. It's that simple.... except.... It's always a struggle to rid the house of accumulated newspaper bits. I hate newspapers, but Mr. Crabby loves them. Also, I can't stand when someone puts dirty dishes on the counter instead of in the dishwasher. However, I suck at keeping the garden watered or weed-free, and it's been brought to my attention that I leave dirty coffee cups, partially full, all over the house. However, I try to do a proper spring and fall cleaning... when I think of it.

5. What was the last thing you cleaned?
The bedskirt and the duvet cover.
